What are the odds of getting something right?

The odds are supposed to be 50-50 when you take something apart and put it back together or even putting on a pair of slippers in the dark.
Well, if Hickson's 'Try, try, try again' has anything to do with it, that'd be more like 25%

I've tried some things more than a few times, after failure upon failure
And, boy howdy, when success does come...ooooohhhh, yeaaaahhhh

Why is there always one screw left over after you put something back together?
I call that the 'screw it' factor
I have a tuna can almost full of 'em.
The good one.....after carefully putting everthing back together.... in proper sequence...fastening the cover rather proudly....smugly putting tools away.....sweeping up....ready to close shop for the day.....taking one last glance at the workbench.....and there it sits... the O-ring ...mocking you.
I call that the 'OH' factor (expletive removed)
