What are the times you wish you used your camera?

This morning a turkey was walking through the yard. It had a funny brown shadow. It turned out the shadow was baby turkeys. They were round brown puff balls with a beaks and feet. There were 4 or 5 of them. As mom walked, they ran around her. One stopped and looked at a fern. The others ran over and all of then looked at the fern. then one of them found a tree and they all ran over to the tree. It was almost like they were saying ; "WOW.- A TREE., Then one of them found a bush, and they all ran over to the bush "WOW- A BUSH. It was so cool they checked out my whole yard.
I just don't know how to work the damn camera. What are the times you wished you used a camera?

Maybe talking Turkey really is a thing.
This morning would be one of those times. I saw a small gold colored duck chasing a large white duck. Then all the sudden the large white one stopped & confronted the smaller one. Nothing happened it just looked like the large one realized it was bigger.

Yesterday afternoon ..... when my daughter and SIL brought their Goldendoodle "puppy" over for a visit.
Should have gotten my camera out!

That PUPPY is the size of a Shetland Pony! ... He is only 7 months old now, but weighs over 85 lbs., and is almost 3 ft tall.
I can't believe how fast he is growing, and really wondering when he will stop!
He's a very sweet gentle dog. (thank goodness)

Lately I’ve been kicking myself for not taking pictures of local spots over the years Change happens and I’m regretting not taking photos of what was there. For years we walked through an open field; it’s now all houses.

I don't take photographs. I have boatloads of old family snaps from the 1920's through 70's that just take up space. No one is interested in looking at them and when I die, no body will have any idea who the people in the pics are. When I visit antique or junque stores, there are thousands and thousands of loose photographs in random boxes. Why add to the clutter? Time for a bonfire.

Even with a camera on my phone
I often do not have the presence of mind to get a photo of unusual things i come across.....
Do not know why i do not think about it at the time but often i say to myself ... "silly you should have took a photo you had your phone."

When my horses up in Colorado were running across the pasture kicking up the snow!
It was one of the most beautiful sights I'd ever seen!

AS everyone here knows I go nowhere without my camera.. I take photos of everything, it's amazing how quickly things change so I always love to take photos of even mundane things...

I do wish I'd been able to afford to take more pictures of my Daughter, and our early life tho'... but we just couldn't afford the film for the camera much less the developing.. so it's my biggest regret that I only managed to get a few of her..

This post reminds me of a reoccurring dream I have had for the past couple of years. In the dream I am in different parts of the world word and I do pull out my phone to take pictures to share with others but I can't get the camera to work. I always get frustrated and wake up after not being able to get the photo shot. It reminds me of when I used to have dreams of trying to use the telephone but not being able to dial.

I have my phone with me all the time and started a personal project a couple of years ago involving me taking at least one random picture a day. However there are times when something happens and I space out about taking a picture. Latest example was when I saw a 65 Mustang parked next to me. It was in mint condition. I regretted not taking a picture when I returned to my car and saw it was gone.

I came home from town on what I call the "scenic route" which is a mountaintop road. A bear appeared in front of me munching on grass at the side of the road. I got so excited I stopped the car and pulled out my phone and started taking a video. He munched a while, crossed the road and ambled off into the woods on the other side of the road. I hit stop on my video and it started recording. I had not had it on and it only started after he disappeared!

There are several times I would have liked to have had my camera with me. I do have a camera attached to my drones and also to my helmet when I go mountain biking. They are always interesting to watch later. You see things on a camera that you missed when you actually did it.
