What are you cooking or baking today?

Traditionally people here would have roast lamb at Easter, but we're having goose. We don't celebrate Easter as such, but it's a holiday weekend and we raise our glasses to Eostre, the Goddess of Spring.

We’re some of those people who might go with lamb for Easter. But brother and his kids don’t care for it so it’ll be a spiral cut ham with a pineapple honey glaze here served with mashed potatoes, ginger ale carrots, green beans, applesauce with rasberry and Hawaiian rolls. He is bringing dessert.

Ive done Hot Dogs for lunch ..........boiled eggs with mayo on cobs to take out for tea.
The hot dogs I understand, and I love. I am confused about boiled eggs with mayo on cobs. Can you tell us more about that. Is it like an egg salad sandwich? Is it corn on the cob? Are you doing a picnic for easter lunch?

@Blessed ,its chopped up hard boiled egg and mayo ,all mashed together, spread on a brown Bun, but in my part of the country we call them Cobs . ( not corn on the Cob) Yes i was eating them out , we sat and ate them in the Car , before going a walk ..
I can understand the confusion when i said on Cobs , quite funny really , I shall have to be a little more careful how i write .Sorry :)
I was doing something easy. a lazy day ..

That is what I love about this board, we learn from each other. Teach us more about English things. If I have a question I will ask. Should I ever be able to visit the UK at least I know how to order food at a pub.

I made the base for masala chai this AM and ended up not drinking it for breakfast. So I put it in a ceramic mug and refrigerated it. This afternoon is a bit warm for hot tea, so just warmed it enough to mix in the maple syrup and then poured it over ice (the tea part, no milk). Wow, what a spice explosion! Very tasty and refreshing! Will definitely repeat (maybe add a little extra H2O next time)

Digiorno pizza goes by the name of Delissio in Canada. They're being phased out 😫! (In Canada that is.) They are better than other brands, in my opinion.
Try the Dr. Oetkar pizzas, I like the Rising Crust Deluxe, better than Delissio I think.

Today have some leftover Chicken Fried Steak so that will do along with mushrooms and mashed potatoes, still working on last years green beans too.

I am making Spaetzle (again) today! I drench them in very unhealthy browned butter, but who cares if they managed to live well into their eighties on very unhealthy diets! :) My problem now is what to have with them. Daughter is away on vacation and I have run out of veggies and meats to have with the dish. Apple sauce was always delicious in my childhood so I guess I'll have that with the German noodles!

Love rotkohl with spaetzle. I need to get some pork cutlets so I can make schnitzel since I ran out. Some brown gravy with mushrooms would make be good too.
Hey, thank you, thank you, thank you! You made me remember that I have half a bottle of Rotkohl (Blaukraut) in the fridge. I hope it's still good! (y) :)

Edit: not enough Rotkohl left for a meal! :(

Sorry for making you homesick.

We can't eat a whole jar so I freeze it for later use. Hard to find fresh red cabbage in the stores to make your own, but I don't mind the jars that I get at Aldi's from Germany.
Mine is (was) Kuehne and is just as good as the home made Rotkraut (Blaukraut in my neck of the woods)! In my opinion!
