What are you cooking or baking today?

that's the beuty of having the 2 freezers Lilac, I agree.. of course having 2 full up as I do at the moment, then there's a problem if one packs up, which they shouldn't really..given that both of them are only 3 or 4 years old... the kitchen fridge freezer is only half full I don't like to overfill that one..I tend tot just eep veggies in there so they're handy to reach for when cooking rather than going out to the barn or sheds...
The fridge freezer is good for veggies, tater tots, left overs & small items that get lost or forgotten in a bigger one. Our freezers are in the basement.

Did some experimenting with a pound of steak tips.

Marinated them for about 2 hours in red wine vinegar, EVOO, salt, pepper, garlic powder, a bit of ketchup, worcestershire, and soy sauce.

Sliced a small onion, a handful of sliced sweet peppers and this is where I screwed up -- a handful of sliced button mushrooms.

Some EVOO in a pan, softened the onions, added the sweet peppers also to soften. Removed from the pan, put in the mushrooms to saute. Removed those, cranked up the heat, and added the steak tips to sear to about a medium rare. Added the marinade and softened veggies to heat through.

Served on spaghetti.

Does eating pot cookies trigger the munchies . . . to eat more pot cookies? Asking for a friend.

I wouldn't know. I don't fool with the stuff.

My SIL has MS, so she has several different strains. Some for pain, some for sleep, etc.

I couldn't tell you which is which, though. All I know is my wife puts the doses in little glass bowls, one bowl per batch.

She has this one that's just oil, and she gets a drop on her tongue. I don't know what that one is for.

A far cry from my late teens and early 20s, when there were two kinds of pot: with or without seeds.

Why did you mess up with the mushrooms?

Deep frying the eggplant cubes was where they lost me. Good plan to do them in the oven. Assuming you rubbed some olive oil on them, yes?
Oh yes, I did.

Now this is new for me to make, so I messed up and almost stated a fire. I wanted the eggplant more browned, so at the end, I turned on the broiler.

Still impatient, I held the pan up higher to the element just before removal, forgetting the edges of the parchment sticking up on the ends and it caught fire!

Small flames and I beat them down with the pot holder.
LOL, just call me Sparky

My question was largely rhetorical, but I appreciate your response. I never fooled with that stuff to any great degree in my checkered past, and it's been 40+ years since I even had some hash. God only knows what the green-thumbers have produced since then.
