What are you cooking or baking today?

we can all mix and match so much variety and colour and heat and cold - did a quicky tonight for a ravenous stomach - " pork mince cooked in oil not too fiercely - condiments to your preference added - I chucked in a couple of eggs and swirled them all around - pkt x how many noodles placed in plastic sieved vessel - and large out bowl with boiling water poured over left to stand. couple or 3 pkts of mixed frozen vegies thrown into the microwave and zapped until hot and coked - all mixed together and further condiments added to your delight - should last for at least two /three meals??

I'm still working on clearing the freezers some, though I have added some containers of homemade soup to the stash.

We have an upright freezer, plus 3 refrigerator freezers (one is part of the kegerator). With them all being less crowded, I can better see what we have and even organize everything.

Bonus: I unearthed four turkey burgers that were on the edge of being freezer burnt. (DD's family eats those, DH & I don't.) I fried a couple up and have been giving Ozzy-dog about 1/3 of a burger with each meal along with his dry food.

Not sure what, if anything I'll make today. With an expected high of 80 degrees today, this will likely be a mostly salad and fruit day.

Yesterday I made an improvised stroganoff. Guess that’s the best name for it. It’s not stew and it’s not soup. It made three meals, one of which I froze. It was yummy, no matter what it was called.

Today I’m looking at the old slow cooker I used and keep debating donating it. It only gets used a half dozen times a year. Two or three of those are for chilli. For now I’ll keep it. When it’s time to downsize, it’ll be one of the things that don’t come with us.

I gave you a sad reaction (for the part in bold) then regretted it and decided I should either change it or explain. It's because I use my crock pot at least 3 days a week. I start meat and frozen vegetables in it early in the morning around 8 AM, and everything is ready by lunchtime.

I bet your stroganoff was good. I don't have a name for what I cook, either, and half the time I just improvise.

I don't really like slow cookers all that much, Used it mostly for chicken legs /broth for my dog.
