Of course it does. All the different foods get a chance to marinade , enhancing the flavour.And it tastes better reheated, too.. (in my opinion!)

Today will be Amish oven fried chicken. Probably will roast the brussel sprouts I have sitting in the fridge. Still clearing out what's in there before the new fridge comes on Thursday.
I agree!And it tastes better reheated, too.. (in my opinion!)

Eating up more food from the fridge before the new one comes on Thursday. Today was kielbasa fried & roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon drizzled with balsamic vinegar.

Sliced, lightly MW-ed, and froze some zucchini that'd been in my crisper for a few days. Cut up and froze a yellow and orange bell pepper, same reason. We've all learned the hard way that fresh produce is a quickly use it, freeze it, or lose it, proposition.
I pulled together a big salad with some greens, a red bell pepper, carrots and celery that were likewise mellowing in the crisper. Dolled half or it up last night with kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, pickled daikon & carrots, pickled ginger, tomatoes, seared tofu and some other things I can't bring to mind and had it for dinner.
Planning on eating the rest of the salad for lunch today.
Yakisoba with tofu and plenty of veggies for breakfast.

My new fridge came around noon! I have the drawers & shelves put in. It's cooled down enough for me to start putting food in it now. The old one is on the porch waiting for Lowe's to come & pick it up so I can get my refund on it. I got an Amana with the freezer on the bottom & fridge on top. It seems like it has more room in it than the side-by-side which was 1.5 cubic foot bigger, but maybe it's just my imagination.
Hubby cooked some beef ribs on the smoker so I'm getting some leftover backed beans & greens. I wish I would have thought to make some cornbread to go with it, but it's too late now cause I'm hungry & I don't want to wait.

Made a copy-cat recipe for Maid Rite burgers which are basically sloppy joes without the red sauce. The meat is season with salt, white pepper, beer & powdered mustard. Top them with sweet onion, pickle & cheese on a bun. They are always served with potato chips to pick up any loose meat that falls on your plate. Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe

I've heard that making sourdough bread is more productive when it is made in cooler climates. Do you find this to be true?
The church lady that I was buying some from, well...it wasn't very sourdoughy and I heard it was because our climate is too warm. Plus, this last time she burnt the bottom. Needless to say...that's the last time I will be buying from her.

Yesterday was a pot roast with mashed potatoes & asparagus. The left over potatoes went into the freezer for another meal. The pot roast may end up as shredded beef sandwiches later ... not quite sure yet.
