What are you doing today?

Today, and yesterday were fun days....we went to the casinos. I didn't get much sleep last night, so I will hit the sack shortly, and catch up on the sleep. Over the next couple of days, I intend to get the log splitter out, and get 2 or 3 cords of firewood ready for the outdoor wood furnace, as our mild Fall weather may be coming to an end in a few days....good exercise, and saves $200 a month on the electric bill when the temperatures drop.

Started clearing my rocked front lawn of all the leaves, used the blower and bagged 4 bags so far, will finish up another day and give my back a break. Before and after the leaves, took the dog for a walk, just got out of the shower and starting to unwind before bed.

Today I have a young friend visiting, we’re attempting to cook chicken satay and rice for lunch then watching a video called Great Balls of Fire about Jerry Lee Lewis’s rise to fame, I’m hoping to educate her in the wonders of Rock’n Roll

This morning I plan to walk over to my close friend's house to have our weekly Sat chat, they live 2 blocks away.
The rest of the day do some paper work, watch a couple college football games.
Tonight watch Game 4 of World Series,go Dodgers

I'll watch the Buckeyes this morning then at least one or two other college football games, than maybe World Series game 4 tonight. At times we may have 2 or 3 different games on the various TVs. Go Bucks!

edited to add - Oooops. Just realized the Buckeyes have a bye this week, so it's Purdue at Michigan State to start.

It's rainy, windy, and raw here at the coast. At the top of my "to do" list might be a nice long after lunch nap. Not very inspiring but I think the "heavy lifting" can be put off for a day without dire consequences.

For the last few days, I've been dealing with a very painful neck and shoulder problem. It comes and goes and the doc says it is the result of my many, many years working in front of a computer doing close work, which messed up my neck, and my time using canes and a walker before I had my hips replaced because the use of them puts a terrible strain on shoulders. As I said, it comes and goes, and when it comes it is awful for a week or two.

The chiropractor can work it out, but it takes a while to get back to normal. In the meantime, I'm back in a neck brace and just trying not to do anything to make it worse.

We've only just got back from having lunch with friends, the restaurant was full up really early , so it was a good thing we'd booked ... Hubs did what he hopes is the last cut of the lawns for the year, before we went out ..then we got some shopping..town was packed, I have no idea why because it's absolutely freezing today and also odd because yesterday was warm enough to be out without even sleeves... anyway looks like winter might be going to hit us with a bang!!

Finally got the RV loaded and buttoned up. Excited to pull out tomorrow!! :woohoo: I'm tired since I made what seemed like 1,000 trips up and down the stairs today. We had takeout Chinese delivered for dinner and now I'm about to soak in the tub. Ahhhhhhh.

We're bringing the motorhome to the house to get it packed and plug in the refrigerator. I'm getting really excited about "shoving off." :D It's a gorgeous sunny and cool day. I also need to run to the grocery store for a few things and get some laundry done.

Now I'm getting jealous. Used to be around now we'd be packing the motorhome and heading westward to the deserts. Due to medical issues, it looks like our annual trip will be delayed. :upset: Meanwhile, "Margo" sits in the driveway waiting. :(:(

Another dreary, wet day, this morning as usual will walk to my church for our early service which starts at 8:15
The rest of the day read the local paper and go for a couple more walks Sue

It was torrential rain yesterday and I had to drive to the hospital in the next county for a long day of tests.. traffic was horrible, and coming home I couldn't see for the spray , flooded roads everywhere... So it's typical that today is a beautiful sunny day, but I'm having to stay home to rest...

The weather is great here in the Sonoran Desert - 53F this morning, high of about 80F this afternoon. Other than the usual Saturday College football viewing, I hope to make it a uneventful day.

I cleaned the silverware/utensil drawer in the kitchen, pared down my collection of hillbilly Tupperware and cleaned the bathroom.

Now I'm having a cup of leftover coffee and listening to Law & Order reruns as I surf the net.

Just another ho-hum day in paradise!

Being lazy.About to watch Wales play Scotland at rugby on the BBC while recording England South Africa. And I think I can get Ireland Italy from Soldier Field on You Tube later.
