What are you doing today?

Waiting for the plumber to arrive. The shower seems to be leaking through the wall into the hallway at floor level. Doesn't look good for the hip pocket.

Yikes grannyjo...I hope that it's nothing major....

It's Guy fawkes day on the 5th here, which of course means millions of fireworks will be let off around the whole of the UK..but as its on Monday everyone is letting them off, and having bonfires tonight and last night too... I love to watch a good firework display but I wish that people were banned from having bonfires and letting off really loud fireworks in their gardens, and only allowing supervised firework displays .. It's so loud even from inside my house, it truly sounds like there's a war going on... , and this will go on until next week. Animals are terrified of this noise...

Made some beef short ribs with red wine, pancetta, veggies and beef broth this morning,
simmered in the over for 2 hours.
Did a washing and changed sheets on bed.
Now I am relaxing with a glass of wine and seeing whats' going on here.

Went to grocery market to pick up a few things tocarry us over the weekend. Have cleaned the kitchen and swept the floors, now having a cup of hot tea and a qui9ck look at the this senior community to see what others are up to. Granny, hope damage is minimal and not too much hassle.

Ms Holly, I'd have my earbuds in place most of the week, I'm sure. You just have to keep in the bck of your mind: this too shall pass. Happy Guy Fawkes day.

I’ll be painting some Christmas cards this morning, sorting out my winter boots and bags then hopefully, a walk this afternoon when sunshine is forecast

Got home from an RV trip; fun but glad to be home. Now I'm exhausted from unpacking, cleaning and laundry duty. My butt's dragging. :givemebeer::yawning::eek:fftobed:

Cleaned the kitchen, emptied dishwasher, took out trash, froze some leftovers, walked doggie, watched some tv news (big mistake :() and a few episodes of "The Durrells of Corfu" on PBS. Wasted time.

I went out a few minutes ago, and shoveled about 2" of snow off the decks....only the 3rd time in over 100 years that we have had snow this early in the year. Then, I loaded up the outdoor wood furnace for the night, and now its time to hit the sack in a nice warm 74 degree bedroom....34 degrees outside.

walking to my church, its my volunteer morning in the business office.
On my afternoon walk probably will go to local independent bookstore,to ck out any books worth reading

So far, it’s now 8:30 in Florida, I’ve trimmed a couple of palm trees. Fixed my lighthouse, needed a bulb, and came in for some juice. Getting too hot to do anymore trimming.

Guess you will love this weekends and part of next weeks temps...……..10 to 15 degrees cooler.

Basically, doing things on the computer, resting my eyes and putting some drops in my eyes. IOW, still recovering from cataract surgery. Oh, can't forget...…….watching Gunsmoke at 1PM on METV.

Normally I'd be working, but not today! I'm taking my granddaughter to her preschool this morning, and on the way back I'm heading to the grocery store for my daughter. Helping her out with some shopping for my grandson's birthday party tomorrow. After that I need to run a couple errands...to my gal Suki to get some jeans altered, need to swing by TJ Maxx to hopefully buy a couple of shirts for Ron that he needs for work, to the pet store for food for my dogs. Then back home..need to get some computer work done for a client, in between running laundry. I'll cook dinner, and then change and head back out ... it's social dance night at the dance studio I go to!! Gonna be twinkle-toe-ing it tonight!!

Still sipping coffee and trying to decide what's on the agenda today. We need to finish up RV maintenance and get it back to the storage facility. Cold front seeping in so I need to consider what's for dinner. This retirement gig is exhausting, I gotta say. :D

My daughter has been here from abroad for the last couple of days, and we've just been out for lunch, before she gets ready to fly back home again...I always feel really flat when she leaves..:(

Right this minite I am sitting here watching snow out my window. It is not sticking. I HAD planned to go out to rake some leaves later. Guess not. I usually just rake them away from deck and house into yard, then neighbor comes with his mulcher and works them into the lawn. He just messaged me on FB to wait a few days.

I'm trying to clip my dog because I found a paralysis tick on her on Wednesday. She's not really co-operating and at the moment she looks as if she backed into a lawnmower.
