What are you driving.....and do you like it?

Since hitting a deer with our 09 Matrix, things have changed for us. My daughter bought a used car and we have been driving the old rusty 99 Toyota Camry that has nearly 300,000 miles that she used to drive. Our 2009 Toyota Matrix is being repaired and will be done in a few weeks but we might keep driving this old Camry!

I'm driving a 2002 Mazda Protege - Shades. I've had it after numerous other brands and love it. It will see my days out driving, if all goes well. But I must say we owned a Statesman De Ville, which was so smooth to drive, until a motorcycle hit it and the whole undercarriage was out of alignment. Lucky the motorcycle driver came away unscathed., not unlike my poor car., which ended up in the scrap yard.

Jeep Compass 2017- I love it.
My past Jeep, I had for ten years ( a Jeep Liberty) had more gears in addition to the main 4wd gear. Those gears came in handy sometimes when I could hardly get into my driveway if it snowed a lot while I was gone.

But this Compass has just a little handle I pull up, near CD console, for 4WD, and has worked very well so far. I had a truck years ago and the 4wd had to involve turning something on it's wheels.

I heard the new cars will not be equipped with CD players-but I have a battery operated CD player.
I don't like radio chatter when I drive-I like my CDs.

2017 Silver Jeep Compass - I love Jeeps~ This car had very low mileage and I believe it was leased by prior owner.

I had 3 concerns before I bought it- I wanted low roof things for tie downs , I wanted the trunk large enough for a rollator, and a few grocery bags, and I wanted the Best sound system I could get! I can't drive without my CDs.

I got everything I wanted- and the man who sold it to me is a musician-Kamaka , guitar, and writes his own music sometimes. He played for me a song, with him also playing drums, then guitar, and the Kamaka, and he was able to get them all together on one CD, as one person but it sounds like a Band!

Our 2018 Hyundai Kona cost us $20k back in 2018 and has 35,000 miles on it. Been a very reliable car, fun to drive, and in terms of reliability CR seems to prefer the 2018 and 2019 models, so I hope to hang onto it until they get electric car batteries figured out, and self driving perfected — if I should live so long. (-8

Currently drive a Ford Puma ST Line MHEV. My first Ford ever as for the last 15 yrs or so i was loyal to Audi, mostly the A4 model in the estate car version. The Puma seems reliable (so far) and servicing costs are significantly cheaper than Audi, MPG figures are pretty good too but this is a smaller engine than what I'm used too.

1972 Cadillac Coupe DeVille on my profile. 472 V8, bad on gas and terrible for the environment but safe. I was rear ended at stop lights a few times at slow speeds by newer cars. Those cars were all totaled and towed away with plastic all over the street. I usually just need to buff out a scratch on the paint.

Got our 09 Toyota Matrix back. But I still drive the old rusty 99 - makes me feel like a teenager driving that old heap around!
I had a 09 Matrix but it got sideswiped. Because all panels on one side were scraped they totaled it. It was still in excellent condition so I hope someone scooped it up and repaired it.

My neighbor has a Jeep but this old body has trouble climbing into it so when we attend a meeting that ends after dark she will drive us home in my car.

I'm not driving anything...and I like it ! I never thought I'd say that in a million years. My last car was a deep red 1994 Camry, which I bought new. The last time I was able to drive it was in 2005.

High wind warning this afternoon. Have a consultation appointment at McDonalds at 4:15, six blocks away, and showing my condo at 5. May have to drive my little Chevy Truck fleet model. Love being able to ride my bicycle. Easy parking, and I run stop signs cuz I live in a small town! Lol! People love my squeaky on the handlebars!
