What are you grateful for?

On FB I often do a list of 3 things I'm grateful for that day. I seem to have started a trend as several of my friends have started doing the same thing.

No matter how bad things are, there is always something to be grateful for, even if as simple as your breath, clean water, waking up in the morning.

Today I am grateful for:

1. My good health
2. The beautiful scenery surrounding my home
3. My husband

What are you grateful for?

1. That I woke up this morning.
2. That I have people that love me.
3. That I was able to do for a living what I love most, flying.

Very nice, Oldman. My next door neighbour is a retired pilot (BA).

I have found that a grateful heart doubles our blessings...once when we receive them:), and ...again when we remember them:). I thank God for my Wonderful Wife, our good health, and our peaceful home place.

I am pleased our middle daughter and her family are having a wonderful five week tour of Canada and the northern part of the US. This is a quote from her facebook page today.

"We are in Washington State now. We have met the most amazing people and last night due to a happy mistake in my map reading we ended up in a great RV park where we met the most interesting guy who has played guitar for many legendary artists and is currently with van Morrison's band! We spent several hours in his palatial RV and are now staying an extra night as he's doing a BBQ for us later. We have been invited to his Equadorian home, so will need to start saving pennies! He is going to come to stay on our boats."

My husband-he is always there for me,always has my back (sometimes I have to tell him that I really can handle it myself!)
My kids and grandkids-there`s not a one of them that I`d give back ;)
Our health-It allows us to do anything we want-no restrictions at all!

That's fantastic. It's amazing sometimes as how life can bestow such gifts on us when we are least expecting it. And, this was just by happenchance.

I am grateful that most all of the children of my siblings are doing very well in life, that my daughter and her hubby, her daughter are all employed and have roofs over their heads. That in my lifetime, though I've experienced great harm, abuses and sadness, I also know what it has felt like to have been loved in many ways, by many people over my lifetime, the memory of those feelings keep me grounded.

They have met some very pleasant people on their travels, and have been complimented on the politeness of their two lads 12 and 10.

Im greatfull that I am STILL able to raise a 15 years since her Mother( my youngest) died suddenly and unexpectly 4 years ago.

Davey I am so sorry to here of your tragic loss but from being in a similar situation I know that that 15 year old gives you tremendous joy! Unfortunately the higher courts gave ours to the Dad. And Ex. But we are thankful that he lets us have them every other week and every Wed. evening. The 18 year old chooses no longer to make these visits and no longer lives at home very often. The 14 yr old granddaughter is such a wonderful blessing and attends church with us every Wed. Night after she spends the evening with my other daughter. So I am tripley glad that she has you as a role model and a grandparent. Every time I hear that name Davey, I want to sing "Davey, Davey Crockett King of the Wild Frontier." And I bet raising a 15 year old now days you feel like you are blazing a new frontier.

Besides the obvious ones,

That first sip of steaming hot coffee this morning.
A scented candle that makes my house smell lovely.
A mockingbird singing outside my window.

I am grateful for almost everything.Children, grandchildren, husband, house and garden etc. Also having good health to do things.Even small things like reading a good book.

I am grateful that I'm living in Australia; grateful for a peaceful and content life with superb medical care; grateful for the "no gun policy".

Grateful for
A lovely evening last night with old friends and new ones.
Breakfast in bed overlooking scenic beauty
