What are you listening to in 2024 ?

This album was released 40 years ago today so in honor of that I am listening to the full album while I drink my morning coffee and catch up on things. Sales of the album is over 25 million now and as of May it has appeared on the Billboard US Top 200 charts 833 non consecutive weeks (second of all time) and has appeared on the UK Top 100 album chart 1,132 weeks. The Rolling Stone ranked it as the 48th Greatest Album in 2020 which is unusual since it is a greatest hits album.

 

yea man - very poignant - Nice guitar music and singin but spooky lyrics - and writtten in '89 and still a sign of our times - must try somem more of his stuff maybe less scary? - thanks for that though poignant reminder of which road I'm on right now!!
 
I was on the fence about listening to this but this guy, Josh, and his partner do some really interesting guitar and banjo music to accompany their song covers.
