Thank you so much for thinking of me JBR....so sweet of you❣️ I actually have this album. One of my best friends gave me the album below when we were in high school and I became an instant Cal Tjader fan. The top picture was on the cover...risque for it's time and the album was clear red! My favorite single was this song, Cubano Chant (starting from 2:13).


I bought a few albums and later a compilation CD by him. Amazingly the man was not Latino. Of course in Several Shades of Jade, he got into an Asian vibe (no pun intended). In my website bio, Cal Tjader is named as one of my musical influences since the Latin genre is one of my favorites to compose in. Here's the full Los Ritmos Calientes album:

Thank you Diva. You're a jewel. Unfortunately, the second and third recordings aren't available for me in Canada. I think it's some sort of copyright or royalties issue, because I've known this to happen before. Sometimes when I've posted something I've been able to listen to here, American SF members can neither see the image nor play the music.

The first and fourth play fine, though. I'll see if I can find my way to "Cubano Chant" and "Los Ritmos Calientes". Thanks again. 💞
 
Not a song but this video popped up and since I have always been a Jeff Lynne fan I watched it. I knew he had written/produced some of the songs but was surprised by others. I never knew that he wrote songs for Dave Edmunds.
