What are YOU listening to in 2025 ?

Rich, tasty blues. Jimmy McGriff (organ) and Hank Crawford (alto sax) Quartet. Bob DeVos on guitar and Jimmie Smith on drums. Recorded in San Diego in 1989.

The tune "Frame for the Blues" is a composition by Slide Hampton.

I first began listening to Hank Crawford in the early 1980s. He was noted fundamentally as a blues artist, but based on this performance, I think he'd do well in any genre.

Hey, I like that. They did a good job with it. The lead singer & keyboardist... nice voice & vocal style, and great keyboard break. I liked the harmony singing toward the end of the track. Thanks.

Thanks HD! I hadn't heard either of these before. Andy Williams is one of my favorite singers. He did a great job on this.
The Andy Williams version has always been my favourite.... I loved him even tho' he was my parents generation... I still thought he could sing a phone book and make it sound wonderful...

I have loads of favourites.. but this one I like the best of all..

Every so often I listen to the most mellow album I own. If you need to relax and maybe even go to sleep, this album is good for that.

Even as background music while you surf the net.

I heard the first selection, Rhythm of the Tides, a long time ago on Pandora and I had to get the album.

This link should take you to a playlist of the entire album.
I recommend you watch it in YouTube since there is a 50 minute ad in the playlist that you need to skip over.
