What are you listening to in 2026 ?

You don't have to live there to pass on speech patterns that your ancestors passed down. I don't think I ever stated I had lived there, visit yes
live, no. I had Irish accent around me up into my 20's right here in the US!
I think there's barley any Americans who don't state that they're Irish..lol.... to be a nationality you have to have been born there... or at least raised there...

When I was a kid we were raised by our families roots Irish, Italian, Mexican, German, etc. We didn't lump us all in White, Black, Brown or Yellow.
I run into a lot less calling themselves by those categories now. The traditions that came with our ancestors have watered down through the
generations and it's getting rare to hear of some ones DNA showing 50% of a country origin. Laugh at me if you wish, I have Irish heritage
and it shows in may ways. I know plenty of Americans who if asked will state they are German, Italian, Japanese, etc. Because I live amongst them all. In the US on St Patrick's day - every one IS Irish or claim to be.
