What are you listening to in 2026 ?

According to drummer Ron Bushy, organist-vocalist Doug Ingle wrote the song one evening while drinking an entire gallon of Red Mountain wine. When the inebriated Ingle then played the song for Bushy, who wrote down the lyrics for him, he was slurring his words so badly that what was supposed to be "in the Garden of Eden" was interpreted by Bushy as "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida".

YouTube videos of Isaac Brown, a professional music producer who had never actually heard the Beatles. He was familiar with the many 'covers' of their songs, but not the originals. So he took all 12 of their albums in sequential order, devoting a podcast to each. It's a lot of fun, especially as he points out (and many of the comments give details) all of their work was done in ANALOG, actual reel to reel tape masters.

In fact, George Harrison was one of the first purchasers of the first generation Moog Synthesizer, when they were doing the Abbey Road album. It was apparently really funny because nobody knew what to do with it, since it was so new so everybody including the engineers!

There's a lot of Gen Z, Y and A videos discovering the Beatles, but Isaac's videos are more interesting to me because he's very articulate and has a better musical background (both familial and professional) than the "kid off the street" videos. His analyses are very thoughtful.

And yes, he becomes a solid Beatlemaniac very quickly!

(Do note, btw - he's listening to the British albums, NOT the US albums).

This might not be exactly in line with the intent of this thread, however... here goes. I found a site named "The Charismatic Voice" The site is run by Elizabeth Zharoff. She's an opera singer with an incredible voice. On this site Elizabeth does an in depth analysis a wide variety of songs, many of we watch her as she listens to them for the first time. If you go to her site there's tons of songs she's analyzed but here's her analyses of "Black Magic Woman" by Santana. Forewarning, she stops the music often to give her commentary. Her reactions to some of the songs are super cool.
The main site /https://www.youtube.com/@TheCharismaticVoice Anyway, that's what I'm listening to today.
