Back when I was young most of mygifts were handmade. This year Don is making jerky, I will make cookies and nut bread. I also am going to copy and frame some very old photos which have not been seen by the recipients. There is one of my great grandmother’s first airplane flight..
What are you doing?

I think the photos they haven't seen are a great idea. I did that years ago. I didn't frame them, but I made 2 albums for my cousins, which included photos and copies of special letters their mother had written me in past years which they had never seen. [The letters did not contain anything the mother wouldn't have wanted them to see, of course.] It was a lot of work, but they were good surprises.

Although I won't be making any gifts this year, it's good to see you're doing that.

I try to sign my name  neatly on the checks....that's about as creative as I get.

Well, I Do have an astronaut tree ornament that I'm going to decoupage my 6-year-old granddaughter's face onto. She's planning on becoming an astronaut.

NASA has a flight next month that's going around the moon and back and you can have your name sent along. I added all the kids' names and printed up the "boarding passes" NASA provides. I thought they might get a kick out of that.
