I have decided to stop buying paper plates, bottled water, and red cups due to the rising prices on everything and based on our usage of these products. We use too much. I am also cutting back on fresh fruit. I should not be eating fruit at all due to my diabetes.
We have also cut way back on buying candy and I am trying to not buy any at all. I have replaced his candy stash with nuts.
. And a wide variety of snacks that I don’t care for that much. Not a whole lot cheaper but healthier.
I will not be buying many annuals this year. Instead, any new plants will be perennials. All of my annuals died, of course, and I buy what’s on clearance, but it adds up. Closing down and mulching over two annual beds in the front yard will make a difference to the budget.
What money saving things are you doing this year?
