What Are You Stocked Up On?

I've got more than a year's worth of lotions, deodorants and other personal care items, as well as certain medical supplies. I have enough of the "gourmet" soaps I used to sell to make my own body wash for at least a year. I have about 5 months worth of paper products, including TP and buy more TP when it's down to about 2 months of stock. I'd buy more if I had room for it. I've also stocked up on supplements and certain food items, including snacks. I could probably use more canned goods though. Deja's cat food, treats and litter are automatically replenished via Chewy auto-ship every 4 to 5 weeks before stock gets too low.

What have you stocked up on. Would you buy more if you had room?
 

I don’t really stock up on much.

I try to keep a backup of the most commonly used products, a bale of paper towels, and a bale of toilet paper.

I think that hoarding a bit of cash provides more advantages and flexibility than hoarding stuff.

Being single, it is relatively easy for me to adjust my purchasing as the economy and availability of products change.
 
I am stocked up boho clothes, an '88 Ford Bronco, boot scootin' boots, all kinds of country music (and I do mean all kinds) memories of hot summer nights and a sizzlin' hot man, chests and drawers full of lives saved and a few lost.

Enough to last me till this Universe is done with me. It's been one helluva ride...
 

We do not stock up on much, but I do buy things we use a lot when I see them on sale. As an example, McCafe Coffee had their 3-packs on a close-out for around $15 for the 32 oz cans, so I ordered a 3-pack every time i ordered groceries until they finished having them on sale. Now, they are almost that much just for one large can, so it was a really good buy While it lasted.
Most everything we use comes from America, so I am not concerned about imported items that the price might go up on. So far, food and fuel prices here in Alabama have been going down , which is really nice.
 
I buy things like skincare and bath/shower stuff in the New Year sales. This week I stocked up on toothpaste, shampoo and conditioners as my favourite brands were on offer. I think it is worth buying when these things are on offer as they are things we use and will want to buy again anyway. If we had more storage space, I would probably be tempted to buy more.

Post-lockdown I've been drawing down my stock. Pretty much all of it has cycled out and been used aside from some dry beans, lentils, and dried onions. A few soups will see those used up too. Come think of it, I'm pretty set on rolled oats as well.

I'm still in the habit of "loading up" when I shop, so in 2 months I hit the grocery store maybe 3 times. I supplement that with produce and such in smaller quantities more often.
 
This is the first time I’ve ever stocked up on items. After the election in November I bought a year’s worth of paper products, cleaning supplies, etc. I also bought 4 months of coffee, meat, etc. I have recently replenished my supplies.

The constant tariff talk made it obvious that prices would rise if installed. I figured no harm done if not installed because it’s all items I use.

Normally I would have waited until my 17 year old car was experiencing difficulties before replacing but the increase would be so high that I replaced it in January. I also bought a new iPhone recently for the same reason. Now I can just buy necessities for the next 4 years.

Nothing. Well, hand soap usually comes in packets of four and toothbrushes generally come in packets of two.

I remember when Covid broke, many stores sold out of toilet paper.

This normally very reserved gal on my other forum posted...

How much is in a bale Aunt Bea? Having enough cash on hand is great, but one can't wipe one's butt with cash. I learned the hard way to keep more than the bundle (of 30) rolls of toilet paper in the house during COVID. Costco was out of their brand, Kirkland, for 6 months and that's my preferred brand. Since TP is one of my security blankets, I was traumatized. :LOL:

I had to resort to TP that was either more expensive though it didn't last as long, or of lesser quality. I tried different brands to try find the closest thing to value and quality as with Kirkland. Wound up giving away Scott, which I rate the worst. I did like Walgreens "Home" brand, I think it was called. Our local supermarket carries Paperbird, which is also decent. If Costco ever runs out for that long again, I'd get those.

The Walmart single ply 1,000 sheet per roll that I’m currently using has 16 rolls per bale but it varies by brand.

I’ll continue to figure it out as I go just like billions of people around the world have been figuring it out since the dawn of time. 🧻🧻🧻
 
Coffee beans. I have a subscription to a roastery in this town - a 250 g bag every week. As even I don't consume a quarter-kilo of coffee a week they are piling up. I can pause it of course and probably will, but people tell me there is a coming shortage of coffee.
