What are you wearing today? just a fun thread.

We are off to Poole Goes Vintage today. The photo was taken at last year's festival, that's my lady hiding under the parasol. She's currently debating on that perennial question: "What shall I wear?" "Not a problem," I said. adding that I shall wear the green striped blazer, although I might change if the outfit that she chooses doesn't go with green, but for now................................

A neon yellow t-shirt that hurts my eyes. Can't wear it outside, so became my pj top. Bought it for like a buck, a few years ago and wore it in street. My neighbor kindly took me aside and said "never wear this ghastly thing outside again!" and I listened.
I just bought a t-shirt online that is so garish and just not cool enough for my vibe that it has been relegated to being a pajama top.

I am wearing grey slacks and a sky blue henley shirt. This outfit is not cool enough for my vibe, but it is comfortable.

wearing all black today and a purple vest.
Not quite all black, but what I am wearing is mostly from the talented skill of my lady. Words couldn't do justice to her handiwork.

The fabric for the shirt was a chance find when she was searching for material for another project. The lady told me that she knew I would love it. So true. In the second photo there's a sheen that makes my trousers appear dark navy but they are actually black. What you can see is the high waist, baggy style, that I love. Times I get asked where I got my shirt/trousers.

It's been a rather warm day, so many in little more than a skimpy top and shorts. Many a beer belly on show, I prefer to cover up.

Shirt and trousers courtesy of the lady's sewing machine. The temperature today was 31.4 in metric. That's 88.5 for those of us for whom 31.4 has absolutely no meaning.

A nice look @ HorselessCarriage.
Kind of you to say so, thank you. The floral pattern fabric on the shirt was very expensive, much as I liked it I couldn't justify spending such a sum. That's when the lady said: "I have an idea," that idea, as you can see, was to contrast the pattern with the plain and how well it works.

A busy day ahead, there's a couple of rather formal meetings that I must attend. A suit would be the better option but given the weather, and being an age when a little eccentricity is benignly smiled at, I can get away with my original vintage blazer. Chances are, that if there are any comments it will be about the twenty-two inch hems on the trousers that my wife made for me.
