What are your favorite seasons?

I don't like the extreme temperatures so no matter what season it is I like moderate temperatures. But the seasons I usually prefer are Spring and Autumn. I like to see the flowers and trees come back with new growth. In Autumn I like to see the pumpkins on people's porches, all the wonderful colors of the trees, and prefer the milder temperatures, too.

Springtime is the best, I love my garden...But Fall is nice too and a close second. Extreme heat and snow...hate'em both

I think spring is prettiest because of all the flowers, but summer is pretty awesome too. The sun, the warm temps, - heavenly.

I enjoy autumn. The colours change so dramatically. I generally go on vacation to the Scottish Highlands during this time and love the way the place is lit up orange in the sunlight. I also love to listen to the sound of the stags roaring during the rutting season. It is simply a beautiful time of the year where I live.

The last project I had before taking early retirement was in N.Finland. I was very interesting because the seasons were very distinct and the Finns knew almost to the day when the last snow would fall and spring would begin. One weekend, council workmen removed protective coverings from the flower beds and planted thousands of new flowers. The last snow was cleared and the roads were swept. Overnight it was Spring.

It used to be that I would have said that Spring and Autumn were my favourites, but I am now appreciating all the seasons.
From my back fence, I can watch the whole yearly cycle of ploughing, sowing, new lambs, harvesting etc...

That looks very inviting, too! What are stags?
Stags are mature male red deer. The rutting season is when they have developed to peak fitness and strut around roaring to attract females. A bit like a pub crawl on a Friday night in any inner city. :D

Hahahahaha! I have seen the pub crawl before!

There's a certain beauty in the green of spring and the colors of fall. Those are my favorite seasons, but there's nothing like that perfect summer or winter day that occasionally catches you by surprise. The problem with summer and winter is the extremes in temperature keep me from getting outside as much as I'd like, and I love to be outdoors.

Bob I think you summed it up perfectly. When there aren't extremes. I love the Spring and watching things pop up and the Fall and the smell of wood smoke as you walk the dog at night.

I agree with you Bob and Fur. I don't like the extremes in temps. But I don't like the smell of wood smoke. I do like the smell of cider brewing with cinnamon sticks!
