What are your home state songs? Here's mine.

Scotland doesn't have states as such, but there is an unofficial and somewhat controversial anthem often heard at sporting events called 'Flower of Scotland'. Some of the Western Isles have traditional songs such as the 'Skye boat song' or 'Mairi's Wedding' that is also known as The Lewis Bridal Song.

My DH is Illinois born. asked him if he knew the state song.
He said "NO, never heard it but since taxes chased us out of there it should be "Taxman" by The Beatles.

My USA branch of my family is based in Minnesota, it's my adoptive state.

Wow, Rakaia. My husband's 11 brothers and sisters live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. it used to be such a nice place to live.

West Virginia is my home state but I live in beautiful Ohio now.

I have to say it, I think it's time some states update their songs.
No wonder some of us had never heard them before.
