What are your "Needful Things?"

Gardenlover

The world needs more love
While discussing books and various authors with family during the Thanksgiving holiday, we spoke a little about Stephen King's book "Needful Things."
The subject then evolved into what we considered to be our own needful things besides food/water, shelter and family.

I'll not provide a whole list of what we came up with as I'd like to hear what my friends here have to say, but I will start the list with one of my needful things.

Books

I wouldn't enter the Needful Things shop if I were you but, if I did, what would I most desire? Hmmm.

Would Leland Gaunt just happen to have a time machine lurking in the stock room purchance? So I could pop back and revisit loved ones no longer here or, pop forwards and see all the things we will not live to see.

Or perhaps an Alladin's lamp which still holds it's three wishes so I could umm and ahh over whether I want to be ridiculously rich, incredibly intelligent and fabulously fab or, bestow those wishes on the World, peace, love, harmony etc?

Or maybe a magic charm? Yes please! A charm which will ward off all those ailments time bestows on us - no creaky knees, no achy hips, no grey hairs or baggy eyes. Oh! yes! I would buy that magic charm even if it meant I had to start a chain of chaotic events which will surely leave havoc in it's wake ;)

Does anyone know the opening times? :)

A huge, always full, hot pot of tea, and a huge, never empty tin of dippy biscuits, and of course all my music on hand that most of you lovely people think is 'antwacky'. 😊
