What are your pets names?

We have 3 cats.

Pixel and Charlie are black and white tuxedo males, and Penny is a female with a tortoise-shell coat. She looks very Egyptian to me; sly almond-shaped eyes, a triangular head and sleek body. But they're all mixed breeds; homeless until I brought them inside.

I'm a horrible photographer, but....

Pixel is about 8yrs old. He has a seizure disorder but doing fine.
His pixel is on his chin.

Charlie is a little over a year old. Charlie as in Chaplin, because of his crooked mustache.

and sly-eyed Penny is about 2yrs old

As most of you know, we are deep into dog rescue. Therefore, my wallet & gas tank are always running on empty, my house is never quiet or free of dog hair, nor is my car. My inbox is full of ongoing despair & misery with folks wanting us to rescue the fur babies. It hurts that we can't rescue all of them, but, my heart & soul are replenished by the unconditional love, loyalty and joy that can only come from a rescued dog.
These days, we're down to four, (Sophia, Hop-a-long, Timi, and Bruno), but, one never knows what tomorrow will bring. :)

I have not named the semi-feral cats. I do call the mother mama and in my mind the tuxedo is Inky and the Tabby is Goose (for silly goose).
Feral and homeless cats come to eat in my backyard twice a day, and I named them...for no particular reason.

1) The grey and white tuxedo is Spiffy, a female, I think. She basically lives in the backyard. I built little huts for them.
2) The jet-black one is Jet, a male.
3) My granddaughter named the fluffy calico one Cinderella, and then Misty, which stuck. Gender unknown.
4) I named the white one Xi - which means "white feather" in Chinese. Xi looks Siamese; white with light brown tabby tips and it has blue eyes. Pretty sure Xi is female, and Xi is pronounced "she," so that fits.
5) And then there's a carmel-colored one I named Gibbon, because he has a face like a monkey. I haven't seen him in quite a while, so I think he probly died.

Newest addition to my "zoo crew" is Frankie:

Someone "dumped" him on my property. He's estimated to be 6-8 months old. He's very sweet and follows me like the Pied Piper. How could anyone leave this baby outside to fend for himself I can't comprehend.

Years ago I tried my 1st bird. A Love Bird named Auggie (got it in August).
Auggie would follow me around the house doing chores and perch on the kitchen faucet when I was using it trying to drink or bathe in it.

A few years later I got a Quaker Parrot with the name Cracker. Every time my cat would meow the carrot would
look at the cat and yell "Sleep time Cracker!" To stop biting when startled I would tell Cracker "Gonna pick you up"
each time before I did. She put 2 and 2 together and started telling me "Gonna pick you up" when she wanted her
door opened so she could roam.

I have also spent my life doing mostly rescues and rehomes of dogs and horses. The cats that I have had in my life just showed up I fed them and they stayed.

Freyja was Rottweiler #4 and I lost all of them to cancer.

Sheldon is the Merle Catahoula/Pitbull. He is 13 in this 2024 photo. I got him as a yearling; the story was they found him roaming the streets. He has lost two of his canine friends and my husband. Little wonder he has no sense of humor, but he does try sometimes❤️

Pippa is a purebred Pitbull who was confiscated from a backyard breeder. She was having pups as soon as she could. She is now four-ish years old; a joyful-joyful dog with no shame. She is responsible for Sheldon wanting to live again, after husband passed❤️

These are just three of the dogs I have taken in, over my lifetime; many of which were not mine. My Pet Sematary is full of dogs and cats, plus I have laid seven horses to rest.
