Yes, the virus, reparations, the economy, changes,
civil unrest turning to civil war over gun confiscation
I'm imagining upheavals of every sort next year.

Your first instinct was right. The Kingston Trio.

We've got to find a way to put money in the pockets of the middle class and the poor so they can spend on the things they need and thus help the wealthy. I'm afraid the wealthy will have to give up those large tax cuts. That was really bad timing. We need those tax dollars to keep our heads above water.

Mental illness is becoming a huge problem where I live as is theft, car and home breakins and people shoplifting food from grocery stores. Everyone is in financial distress, almost, and in the U.S. covid will not get better due to civil unrest - again. I had to tell my mom today not to wear her mask in the car, ever, but to only put it on when going into a store. I didn't want to tell her how people are now committing acts of violence on mask wearers and hitting their cars with baseball bats if they stop at a red light or stop sign. But I had to. If this continues I don't think life in my country will be pleasant or anywhere near normal in 2021.

I completely agree with you. I said yesterday 2021 isn't going to be any better than 2020. Could it be worse? Possibly.

What!!! OMG, I had not heard of this. Seriously what the..... Are these people saying the virus is a hoax. I'll tell my stepfather this. I have not heard of this at all and certainly not in my area but thanks for posting.

I watched something on the news where a nurse reported that a woman who died from Covid stated the virus was a hoax even before she died. I don't know where this delusion is coming from. Someone called the news talk station I listen to and literally said all these people were ready to die anyway. I don't get the mentality. No empathy. For some, maybe even when it happens to them. So very strange.
 
I read on the Daily Mail website this morning that Bill Gates thinks/claims this Covid situation will go on in to 2022.....

I didn't read the article, all I thought of is, he's going to track us all w/this vaccine???

Anyone who believes that this virus is a hoax should call a few of their local funeral homes and see if they believe it's a hoax.
When my husband died in April, funeral homes were already so overcome I was told they were not planning anymore services until after the restrictions were lifted and they got caught up. I made the arrangements for his cremation in the parking lot of the funeral home. His ashes are here in a decorative wooden box I ordered to put the urn in until we can get together again as a family to scatter his ashes in a place my husband chose.

Hospitals around here are stacking patients on gurneys in their hallways. There are no beds left at most health facilities. My village had March to August - 0 reported cases. August to December - 65. It is spreading exponentially.

Can someone tell me why when this first started, everything shut down. Now that it is like a wildfire, it's BAU?

It depends on where you live and what the state and local governments choose to do. It has never been BAU here in CA since we had our first shutdowns in March. We've had relaxed restrictions here where some areas allowed in restaurant dining and others didn't. I'm not sure why any area that was more focused on preventing the virus being spread would go back to BAU.

I get a kick out of people who try to impress others with their psychic abilities by saying, "Celebrities always die in threes."
Then, they wait until two die & after the third one passes, they'll say, "See? Told ya."
Like.....after only two die, the rest could have lived forever.

We are the same. For 2021 I wish for others to get to this place of peace of mind in life.
 
The worst part is ahead of us, north america knows what is coming at us. We are not prepared, one hospital in Oshawa is down after a covid break out. Quarantined... More hospitals in Toronto announced they were at the tipping point. Ontario is just below 2000 per day of new cases.
Changing to winter situation here, go out when I need to... Normal for me in winter.

United we stand...divided we fall. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen our country THIS divided over SO MANY issues 😢
