Interesting story. What do you mean by "it is written in the Constitution."? What is "it"?

Doug, I do believe that's where I read it, but it could have been in the Declaration as well. It refers to citizens paying for the infrastructure and upkeep of this nation. It isn't a long-drawn-out piece, and it gives one the idea that taxes will not break our backs. We had a debate in college regarding this, and I was an anti-federalist facing down federalists. When I get a chance, I'll try to research some of this.
