What beers are called - Numbers, in the UK?

Watching the Detectorists and a round of drinks was brought to the table.
The server said, Cider, Numbers, Numbers handing the two beers to the guys and an Aperol Spritz for the good wife.
Why Numbers?

I've never watched the Detectorists. but I just discovered Mckenzie Crook is in it.. ohhh I can watch him, my anxiety goes through the roof seeing how desperately thin he is..
 
Could it be the brewing company called "Brew By Numbers". Or perhaps some local Craft Beer, not sold nationally?
