What celebrities have you met, if any?

In the 1970s, I met Tiny Tim, of "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" fame. He was performing at a local bar in my small-ish Canadian city. I guess his career was on the downturn then. LOL He was surprisingly entertaining, even though my boyfriend at the time and I were only 20 years old. He played his ukulele and sang mostly old standards, like "You Are My Sunshine." After his concert, he signed autographs. I still have mine tucked away somewhere. We chatted briefly. He was a sweet, but very odd fellow.

My fellow Canadians here will be familiar with Rick Mercer. Hubby and I are huge fans. We met him after a taping of his show at CBC in Toronto. He wasn't as warm and friendly as I expected, but that's okay. He's still a Canadian icon. :)

I was security at a Portland condo set up. Sen. Mark Hatfield, Buzz Aldrin, Mr. & Mrs. Stan Wiley (big time realtor) PPD union head, Owner of Crown Zellerbach. Mike McGuiness Oregon Megabucks largest winner of 19 million.

Yes both my Estranged husband and I have worked in TV and film for many years.. so I've met and worked with many, many celebrities...

There's a long running thread on the same topic.. Here

When I was in high school....early 70s, I traveled to Houston for a Lutheran youth gathering at the Astrodome. While walking in a back hallway searching for a bathroom, a group of men came walking towards me. In the center of the group was Johnny Cash. He was set to perform at the event. I struggled to get my camera out of its case....my instamatic! I couldn't get it out. He stopped and grinned...I said, "I can't get my camera out". He smiled and laughed a bit and said, " Don't worry, you'll remember. ". And I did!

The greatest was the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Had lunch alone with Mike Love of the Beach Boys

Met Cliff Robertson, George Carlin,
Kristie Alley, Little Richard, Ray Charles,
Teresa Brewer, Vera Miles, Dick Clark,
Roy Rogers, Gene Autry.
I know there is more but I can't think of them.

I really don't go ga-ga over celebrities. As Media Production Coordinator and Production Management @ the BBC for several years and my father being on the Board, there were always invitations to glittering parties. Some I enjoyed but others bored me. When I left to take a position at UNICEF, I came into contact with more celebrities and worked with one particular lady whom I adored! People say I looked like her!

I have never met a celebrity in my life. The closest was seeing Mike Tyson in an airport and Gene Shalit at a Friendly's in Vermont.
That's it.
