What color car do you have?

My present car is light blue with a dark blue convertible top. I bought it used and condition was the primary consideration. In my retirement I only drive about 3000 miles a year.

My previous car was "titanium" which was a fancy way to say silvery-beige. Here it was, waiting to be towed away after being totaled by the insurance company. From this angle you can't tell, but the right front quarter was bashed in pretty good from hitting at deer at high speed.

That car was like a spaceship with its 650 mile range. I'd had it just under 16 years.

Needing a replacement, I shopped online for a week and settled for something in black:

It’s white with black top and trim. People always tell me that my car looks like me🤷‍♀️ I don’t know what that means.

You have a fun car, maybe the implication is that you are a fun person.

When I get teased about my car and I both being in our 7th decade
I just say: "Life is much too short to drive a boring car."

This car brand seems to have a serious problem with the automatic transmissions ? Lots of consumer complaints about them. How is yours ? Way back in 1962 I had a Morris Mini Cooper S , the race modified Mini. Faster than a scalded monkey up to about 120 mph, then the valves started to float, and it ran out of horsepower. Terrific car in the Canadian snowy weather with the front wheel drive. It's rare to see a convertible in Canada, now a days. JIM.
I don’t like the car, Jim. There is always something wrong with it and it costs an arm and a leg to fix. I’d never get another Mini. My former cars have all been Volkswagens. I wish I had stayed with them.

I will never get another black car, it shows up all the dirt....

Yeah, but so far I've done fairly well keeping it clean.

But I'm giving some thought to buying again before things get ugly (even higher prices and an electronic "political officer" built in).

This is called "sand dune pearl."

Our previous car was a BMW, having reached eight years old it was producing some eye watering repair bills. Time for it to go. A series three Golf, a new one, found a home in our garage, all those years ago. That Golf is still our runaround everyday car. It has proved reliable and inexpensive. It just shows what sharing a heated garage with a classic MG can do. The only fault with the Golf is it's boring. But when you have a fun MG, who cares?
Did you know that The Golf has nothing to do with the sport of golf? It's named after the German word “Golfstrom”, with means Gulf Stream.

My car is white. We could have bought an exact same mode that was black, but didn't want it because even though black looks better, white reflects heat, where as black absorbs it. And now that I live on the western edge of the Mojave Desert, I am so glad we made that decision. A cool summer day is about 95°. The hottest one since I moved here was 118°. I flatly refuse to go outside it's over 100°.

I understand. My neighbor bought a 2021 Mini Club Sportsman wagon as a new car, and got rid of it in under a year. JIM.
