What couldn't you think of today?

Thank God for Google! My husband and I can barely remember our own names these days, so we watch movies with one person on the computer to tell us the names of the actors names we're trying to think of. Our son is a big help, too, his brain still seems to work. We all three watch Jeopardy and help each other out.

Just now, I was trying to think of Bob Dole. I went to Google and typed, "Ran for president wife Libby," and it told me!

I wonder what it would answer if I typed, "That guy who was in that movie?" That's all our son has to go on sometimes.

I too, find myself asking Google some of the darnest questions ...lol ... about anything really! .. and gotta say, Google is great at jogging the brain many times.

Thou sometimes I'm just too far in left field for Google to read my mind.. 😁

I see something here, on this forum, that I want to know more about. Start to Google, but after ONE letter typed into the search box and what cascades down from that letter is what I am looking up. This has happened many times. I appreciate the convenience, but not the cost.

YouTube will do that for me for some things, I can type 'Afro guy' and its top suggestion is Jamie Archie X Factor Audition, which is exactly what I was looking for! But maybe YouTube also has the advantage of knowing that I've watched that multiple times in the past.

Re: remembering... have been taking Vitamin K...suppose to help cognitive

I couldn't remember something from the past today. While talking with my first husband, he asked me if I remembered where we went on certain dates ( we're talking 1975 ) and he named the Venue and I said yes I remember seeing Slade there with you... and he agreed and then he asked if I remembered the second venue and who we saw there.. and I couldn't, and so he told me we saw 'Queen''... I don't remember that.

Either I was so loved up and took no notice, because at the time Queen was Huge here.. they'd really just started out , or he's got me mixed up with some other female..:ROFLMAO:

What day it is/was.

I almost always have imdb.com (stands for internet movie database) open on the computer or my phone when we watch a movie; we're always saying "Who's that and what have we seen them in; they sure look familiar." Pretty good site, interesting because you can bring up actors' bio's too.

I use IMDb, to check movies/TV casts. Duck Duck Go or Google for other things. My Daughter usually has her laptop on when we watch things together. She has a lot helpful sites bookmarked.

One of my issues is that we watch all the new Star Trek series and the actor playing some alien character will seem familiar. Often i'll recognize a voice, or a jawline, or way of moving but because their own face and body covered in prostetics and make up to create the alien, i can't get a full picture which i'd probably be able to do if they were playing a human.

I have some science and history sites bookmarked, to check those types of info.
