What did u get in your stocking?

What was a traditional stocking stuffer that you received every year? As a child, I was thrilled when I got a book of Life Savers.

Mine now is a box of junior mints. It was from that Seinfeld episode when Kramer accidentally let a Junior Mint drop into a guy's open chest cavity.

Fruit, nuts, candy and maybe a couple of little doo-dads or another.
I enjoyed going through the Christmas stocking as much or more opening gifts.
Grandmother and mom made Christmas special for us.

We never did Christmas stockings when I was a kid. They were hung on the mantel for decorative purposes only.

A tangerine or orange, some nuts, some wrapped candy and maybe a little toy. I am proud to say that I never got a piece of coal, no matter how much I might have deserved it. Stockings weren't that much of a big deal in my family. It was what was under the tree that counted with us.

Maybe my kids were weird, but they LOVED going through their Christmas stockings.

Since we had presents under the tree, I was always hoping for some cash

We always got the usual orange, candy etc…

I always enjoyed the little inexpensive tin BB skill games.

There was always an orange in the toe of the stocking. A few candies. A toothbrush. Maybe a couple of trinkets. It made me happy.

I did a similar stocking for my kids. Then one year a relative sent them huge stockings. It wasn’t easy filling them.
