What did you do on your first date?

We went roller-skating...

We were only 16
Love that song. You can copy and paste the link (URL) to a youtube video anywhere into the body of your message and it will embed the video so it it shows in your post and is ready to click on and view. (After you embed the link - - - before hitting the post button) just click the preview button in the upper right corner to insure that it loaded correctly, then post it. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, but since you only recently joined, I thought this info might be helpful.

Yeah, you did fine. It was also fine the way you originally posted it, with a link to click on, but I only told you about embedding in case you want to do that. When I joined, I didn't know how they were embedding videos until Seabreeze showed me how. By the way, I hope you're enjoying Senior Forums. Have a good day.

I do appreciate it Mack, ya' know every time that I learn something about computers, I forget it by the next day, haha.
I think that the posting so that everyone knows what the clickable would take them to is the better idea!

What the? I don't understand your last paragraph at all. If she didn't kiss you, would you have liked her better? Please explain the turn-off! Thanks
To put it mildly, I took the position that she wanted someone to party with. She had offered me a joint earlier in the evening and asked me if I had any beer or liquor in the trunk.

I had plans almost my entire young life to get a job with the Pennsylvania State Police. I couldn’t take the chance of being cited for any illegal offenses. In PA, you don’t get a second bite of the apple. You screw up before applying and getting a job means there is no second chance.

Yes, there have been cases where off duty Troopers have been cited for DUI. When that happens, there are many choices for your commander to take, including expulsion. Whatever happens, it is very embarrassing for you and your family. If you have children in school, it can also cause them embarrassment from their peers. Kids can be relentless to the kid whose dad was cited for a DUI citation no matter what his punishment was.

I hope that help explains why I made the decision to take a pass.

Walking, we were holding hands by the end of the walk. Then a bite to eat in a teashop. Next date a few days later we went to see a film.
I knew within our first date that I loved him. He took a bit longer but not long. You just know don't you. I really love those memories and how wonderful it all was.

We didn't go on a 1st date.... She was hanging out with us for a few weeks due to her friends, I had been seeing another girl. She was helping me move some concrete blocks and smashed her hand.... I kissed it better... she laid a lip lock on me, stuttered and said she had to go but would be back. A couple hours later she showed up around the time our crew was heading out for dinner... They left, we stayed and fell into bed...
Was still there when they got back.... She moved in a couple months later.

Oddly, I remember asking a girl to go to the movies with me in the 4th grade. She walked four blocks to get to my house, which was on the way to the theater, and we walked another four blocks to get to the theater. I wanted to impress her so I wore my combat boots, which were a thing that came in children's sizes back in the 40s. I asked my mother if combat boots would be OK, and she said it would be fine.

My mother told me to introduce Barbara to my father who was working under the car in the garage, and he seemed to take the occasion seriously. He asked Barbara what movie we were going to see. It was one of those Egyptian movies about pharaohs, and Barbara didn't say anything but she did one of those "walk like an Egyptian" moves that I actually thought was kind of sexy. My father just smiled.

I don't remember if we even held hands. But it was an official "ask her out" date. I didn't date again until high school. But that girl in the fourth grade and I remained super friends until she moved away a year later. I think the other kids in our class may have made fun of us, so it was a pretty big deal.

Good Lord -- Probably 1968 or maybe a year later, I invited Grace Fischer to a junior high dance. Even wore a boutonniere. How sick is that? LOL. Oh, and my Mom drove. Even sicker.

Later in the summer of 1969, we went to the lake. She was a wonderful person as I recall, but nothing developed out of those two dates. I hope she is well.

Perhaps more of a meet up than a date. In junior high school there were always dances in an area beneath the football stadium. A live local band played after each game. They were quite good. She and I weren't "an item" but she and I danced with no one else. After each game and at the dance, we sought each other out. A good wholesome time was had by all. After the football season ended, nothing further developed ... at that time.

Later, she would give me my first kiss ... one Sunday night in a darkened part of the church we both attended.

Her dad took a job in another city a hundred or so miles away and for a while we wrote letters to each other. Then the letters from her stopped.

About only a year later, her dad took a job back in my town. I ran into her and she said, "let's get back together." I told her no because she didn't have time to write to me when she lived out of town, so I didn't have time for her now.

She started right away seeing a guy a year older than both of us. He was in the 10th grade. They are still married today.

Must not have been too exciting since i don’t remember where we went.
I do recall tho that he was way more hot to trot than me lol so that first date was also our last.

Sister of the woman who lived next door. We went to a movie. Then the girl that lived across the street - we went to a traveling carnival. Stayed very local in those days, age 13-15. When I was a HS senior, one of my teachers jokingly referred to my “girlfriend of the week”. Right after that, I did stay with one for the next three years, sort of.

I did not score a home run, I didn't even get a hit
