What did you want to be when you grew up & did you?

Myself, I always wanted to be a cowboy, as a toddler my guns went on before my diaper. Roy Rogers was my hero, my dad rode fence & broke horses for the Brownings (the gun people) in N Utah. I grew up to realize John Wayne was a terrible actor & couldn't single handedly win any war.

Answer: Nope, ended up doing IT.

Psychiatric nurse, because my best friend's Mother was always in and out of the psychiatric hospital. I really
liked her Mom.

Ended up working at Queen's Park for the Provincial Govt. Then for the Dept. of Justice for several years.

As I think about what I wanted to be,, had no clue to what I wanted.

I do remember sitting on the hillside about my folks property,, thinking of raising beef cattle.
That dream almost came true when Hubby & I bought a few cattle up here to pasture.

Somehow or someone let the fence open on the main road & the cows found it first day here.
They were soon back in with my father in law's cows.

I did rent the pasture & a few stalls out for other folks horses.
Lesson learned was any animal will discover a weakness in the fence & get out.

Unusually for a young teenage boy, I hoped to be a professional dancer, as in Latin & Ballroom. Very few ever make a good living at it, but it didn't stop my dance partner and I practising every hour that we could spare. When I turned twenty I had the opportunity for higher education, my degree got me into company management. My dance partner went on to become a paramedic in the ambulance service, and......................she became my wife. We still dance, although the aches and pains of old age restrict what we can do, but who cares, my young teenage dance partner and I will celebrate fifty-five years of marriage this year, probably on the dance floor.

First I wanted to be in the USMC. Then I wanted to be in a rock band. I didn't make the Marines but I did spend my life playing music for a living. I did a few other things, but I never stopped playing. Thanks Gerry and the Pacemakers. My parents hated you. LOL!
There's always been great music coming out of Texas! Do you have any recordings of your band online that we could listen to?

Well I started out in California... lol.

No, I don't have anything online. I had a large library on MySpace (remember them?) but they've stopped operations. There are some videos on YouTube that were uploaded by a cover band I was in, but I don't know where to find them right now. When I locate some stuff I'll post it and let everybody know.

The first thing I remember wanting to be was a go-go dancer, lol. Then it changed over the years from veterinarian, racehorse groom and book illustrator. I ended up being a stay-at-home mom, web content writer, selling occasional artwork on the side, and I'm also now an energy healer.

Housewife (and I continued to want it well into adulthood). Maybe I was born a few years too late for that dream to come true. Anyway, it didn't work out.
Same here. One thing I knew I didn't want to do was office work. So went to community college for a couple years to try to figure out what to do, took an aptitude test which they told me I should either get married or join the military since I showed an aptitude for nothing. So I ended up doing office work 'till I retired, sigh.
