What Did You Work at Before You Were Elderly

Wow, more sour grapes, isn't there anything that will give you a chuckle or make you smile?

I noticed your comment in the Cannabis vs Alcohol thread:

...I'm thinking maybe your disposition would be a bit more mellow if you took a break from all that being in control of my own brain thing.
Lots of things make me laugh. Your inference toward my bartending isn't one of them. Its just downright rude, tiresome, and really really stale.

Primarily I'm a rock guitarist, and I owned and operated a sound system rental company, along with a mobile recording unit. And I did audio for a local TV show. I also worked as grocery store bag boy, a short order cook, a gas station attendant (remember those guys?), a night janitor, briefly as a TV repair man, a storm window salesman, a graphic artist and web builder, a R.O.P.E.S. Instructor, and a drug abuse counselor.

No "inference" on my part, just in your cold, cynical imagination. I tried to provide humor, you only saw an opportunity to be negative. Thanks for showing who you are.

wow, that's eclectic.... (y):)

The question is.

What Did You Work at Before You Were Elderly

Unsure of what the common definition of elderly is I looked for the concensus in a Google search.

At what age do you become elderly?

Traditionally, the “elderly” are considered to be those persons age 65 and older.

So by that understanding since I retired at age 54 before becomming elderly I worked at enjoying retirement.:)

Why so rude Nathan? All she did was tell people what she did for a living... why are you trying to diminish her character???
Seriously? If you read the all the posts between us you could see what actually happened. But, you can choose to take sides if you wish. I'll just have to consider this as a learning experience.

Yes seriously…all she did was define how she earned a living. You seem to think there is a “backstory” to her being a bartender. Why should there be a backstory except that she needed to earn a living? Then you carried on regardless of the fact you had upset her… and I am scratching my head as to what business it is of yours to insult this woman. The fact is, you made insinuations…you insulted her…let us see how big a person you are to apologise to her.

Perhaps Old Aunt will now be upset with me for putting my oar in…but it is a risk I must take in the interests of fair play.

Maybe you should apologize for putting your "oar" into this matter, and further muddying the waters. I'm not going to submit to this lose-lose kangaroo court, think what you wish, I'm done discussing the matter.

When I retired from the military, I went to work at an Ethanol Plant.
Worked my way up to Distillation Operator.

The finished product needed to stay just under 200 proof, so it was a balancing act
to hit the sweet spot of 198-199 proof.

We worked 12 hour shifts and when we were on the night shift, only one Distillation Operator
was on duty.
Constant monitoring and minor adjustments of proper steam and liquid flow though Rectifier Column.
Enjoyed learning the testing proceedures in our lab.

Unfortunately, Home Distillation is still illegal so I just Homebrew Beers.
I love the process as much as the finished product!
