What do watch TV on?

Ron is the TVholic. I don’t care other than watching movies. But because he is, we have a TV in the den, the living room and the bedroom.

He watches tv in the bedroom to put him to sleep whereas I play games and listen to books on my phone. I might glance at the tv here and there but unless there’s a movie playing I let him do his thing and stick to my phone.

We have a 60” something in the living room and den. A slightly smaller screen in the bedroom with a sound bar. I’ve never had so many TV’s in my life all under one roof till I married Ron!!

I have to say though it’s handy to have a den tv when the grands are here because they can watch tv in the den and the rest of the fam can gather in the kitchen/Living room (it’s all one open space)
 

Sometimes I access Netflix or stream through my computer. Just never was a big watcher
of television.
 

We have an old (still great picture, though!) 55" Samsung plasma TV; when it dies, Huzz wants to go up to at least 65". I have it on almost all the time when he's not around for company. Plus, I figure it'll get me used to how noisy it'll be in the nursing home (which, let's face it, is where we're all headed if we live long enough).
 
I got myself a 48 inch Samsung flat screen for my birthday back in 2016. I also have a 40 inch one in the bedroom that I got as a free gift when I had my car worked on some time back. I never use that one and it's in my closet.

I have the TV on in the living room most of the day. Much of the time I watch Nature Soundscapes on YouTube. Also other music on YouTube. I have Netflix and Prime and a lot of free channels for having Amazon Fire TV. Then I watch other stuff on free broadcast tv.
 
The fact the OP and member's postings have only mentioned display sizes shows how little average folks understand or appreciate modern era television technical differences. More important is the screen size is format. Will assume most have own 1080p sets that are 1920x1080 pixels progressive scan. Fine because so are most cable broadcasts. Or if a small set, 720p that is 1280 by 720 pixels. Those with new set are more likely UHD 4k 3840 by 2160 pixels.

Another person that doesn't watch much tv as had not had cable or subscriptions for over 2 decades. Choose to live my life doing things versus watching others live theirs. Today Sunday while typing herein, am watching some free NFL games broadcasts via a local rabbit ears antenna. My Dell 15.6" laptop drives an UHD 4k 24" display. As soon as 8k pc display products with DisplayPort 2.1 are available will purchase something in the 50 to 70 inch size for photo exhibiting that will also require a new workstation to drive multiple 8ks.

Our 80" TV is 4K. But it actually looks good even at 1080p, it uses some kind of special tech to get that good of picture I am sure with that few pixels over that much real estate. My PC monitor, I have 3, but the one in the middle I'm looking at right now is 34" at 3440x1440. It looks better than the TV, but it's an IPS Gsync Alienware gaming monitor. I can't even see laptops anymore, they are too small, I hate them. Except my wife's which is 17" and is a 4K OLED display, it looks great all the way across the room in her office. I have to wear glasses even to see that. I hate glasses, I wish they would hurry up and make new designer eyeballs for us old folk. I'll be on the waiting list day one.
