People who think they know more about my life and health than I do. Then they have the nerve to argue with me and tell me I'm wrong. That's when I wash my hands clean of them!

A man I used to work with, I call him ‘the grim reaper’, every time I bump into him he starts the conversation with “Have you heard so and so has died” and goes on to list everybody he knows who’s died lately, he goes to every funeral on offer, one day I actually hid behind a tree in the square to avoid him !

I also avoid loud people, gossips, miseries, people who brag about what they have, how much it costs and name droppers, I mean, who cares ?

I shared a hospital room with a woman like you describe. She was obviously very lonely, but a nice person. I had to gently tell her that I was going to go to sleep now, so, we could talk more tomorrow.

What do I try to avoid, you ask?

Trauma and drama probably tops the list. The older I get, the lower my tolerance threshold for it is.

I'm also wont to give toxic people wide berth...

Right hollydolly. I try to avoid men like that. To me, that proves someone is "low life and very uneducated." If they are angry or upset there are many other words to describe what they want to say. Four letter words are very common in modern movies and that is why I avoid modern movies. By the way, if you female friends want equality with men; I'm not sure that swearing will get them there but that is a long topic.

Yeah, I've got many friends that use the F word in front of every noun.
Seems it's the only adjective they've ever known.
