I have always loved Elephants. I have a collection of about 30, and I told friends not to give me any more as the house is getting a little crowded.
Thanks. Iām slowly adapting.Meant to say that I'm so sorry your things were stolen.![]()
Same here. I am really good at collecting dust, too!Dust.
Hahaha, I used to collect some things years ago-
Seashells, vintage magazines, records; but stopped long ago.
a couple of years ago..I counted out all the change we'd put in our change boxes.. and it came to well over £400... it weighed a ton. ..and as out Banks at the time weren't taking anything more than £25 bagged up... at a time.. it meant a lot of trips to the bank to get it into my account.., also because it weighed to so much I literally had to put it into a carry-on wheeled suitcase, because I simply couldn't lift it.. this was just some of it...Seem to collect otherwise useless pennies from pants pockets into a plastic bucket near my kitchen where I immediately chuck any after coming inside. So just weighed them as about 70 pounds worth. Thus:
70*16/0.088= 12,727 minus a few for the plastic weight so lets say 12,650
12650/100= $126.50 worth.
So could go down to a local Safeway with a Coinstar machine and collect...
126.50*0.875)-0.50= ~$110
Now what should I do to treat myself to make that effort worthwhile?
i find people's pens at work all the time. nice pens. i found someone's vocera clip on the floor too. finders keepers. lol!"What Do You Collect?"
I collect other people's pens and pencils.
I have a desk at work that has other people's pens and pencils on it. Pencils that I might have been given by someone who has also handed me something to sign. But for some reason unknown to me, I give them their paperwork back and put their pen or pencil in my top pocket. And remarkably no one realises.
They eventually get put on my desk in the hope that the owner comes looking for it. Most of the time they never do though, and I can't remember who I took it from. They themselves don't even know who has got it or how it became missing.

@KailaThanks for this very interesting reply, Rossana!
(In addition, I am sure that I have been to St. Pete Beach! Was it the one with lots of Pelicans?)
I forgot about the lighthouses. I used to collect them too!David Winter cottages, lighthouses, and Hummels. All, back in the day.
@Kaila
Yes, Kaila.
We even had the Pelican Man. He was a doctor that lived on the beach. He started a rescue for the pelicans. His son took it over later on.
St. Pete Beach has the pink hotel as well. It is called The Don CeSar.
