What do you know about VPN?

I've considered it. Not only for privacy, but also to get access to Spanish-language content. (It's fairly easy to get Spanish movies, etc., in the USA. In Canada, not so much.)

Then somewhere I read about a problem with using a VPN. I can't remember what the problem was.

I keep reading about VPN. Still not knowing what I think I'm going to ask members here first
what do you think?
If you're traveling or like to drag along your laptop to Starbucks I'd recommend using a VPN. You don't need a VPN at home, as long as you have a typical modem/router with a firewall enabled.

A VPN is a really cool tool for many reasons, and some good ones are very reasonably priced. If you see one that offers a free trial, try it! They'll tell you all about how theirs works and how to turn it off and on and all that.

I love using our VPN to watch foreign stations....UK and Australia for one. I just have to be careful to turn it on when I don't want to be tracked, and, more importantly, turn it off when using it domestically before it screws up the local accesses I have around here.
