I have occasional insomnia,so I hear you, gets to be like the zombie apocolypse after a few days...doc prescribed a low dose med,not the Ambien, lynestra stuff, sometimes it helps, usually not.I may be the only one here that takes a sleep aid with melatonin....cannot fall asleep on my own for about 15 years now....tried everything natural under the sun with no results....stayed awake once for three days and felt like I was dying with intense fatigue, nausea, weakness and couldn't even function....happened actually a few times with two days of no sleep.....its the worst feeling in the world.....
have no problems with staying sleeping even with two trips to the potty.
black out insulated curtains
White noise for me too R like the low hum of the fan in the seasons you mentioned.....my bed and pillows are so comfy so that helps....Most nights I need my medicines to sleep, plus the little night light on and the sound machine playing crashing waves. My pillow needs to be fluffed and my sheet and comforter up to my chin.
Also, no other noise to fall asleep. And in the Spring, Summer, and Fall I put the fan on instead of the sound machine. I must have white noise to sleep.
you never open the curtains MarciKS?... never ? wow, really ?I have been wanting those for the whole house. I hate the outdoors and the sunlight and the heat that penetrates as well as the cold air leaks. I never open the curtains. Nothing outside I need to see.
Thanks for the correction. It's been years since I looked at those comics. I think they were called "Mad". I bet they don't print them anymore. I used to have a whole issue on country music with a feature on Johnny Cash". Alfred E. Newman it is.My husband is the same way; can sleep any time, any place.
Oh, and it's Alfred E. Newman.
