What do you prefer?

Yes it is the easier choice but really doesn't spark a conversation. But it's fine if course

I agree. I wish we had an "agree" button, in addition to the Like button.

Often I will go to reply to a post and then notice that someone has already given a similar response so, I will use the buttons instead of just repeating what has already been posted. Other times, it depends how much time I have or whether I have anything to add.

Never really thought of it. Likes and such are given liberally here (I'm a member of other sites where they're rare). I think, if I feel I have something to add, I post a reply. If I feel I have nothing to add, and I like a post, I'll add an emoji. Or, in cases like this, if I'm asked a question, then the question is either interesting to me, and I reply. Or it's not, and I just let it pass.

I think the bigger distinction is in the threads we post in, and the threads we choose not to.
