What do you regret doing to your body?

I've lived a very physical lifestyle so my body has taking a beating. I think my biggest mistake is not allowing injuries heal, I always kept pushing. Now that I'm a senior I have chronic pain from years of abuse, and still keep aggravating things by doing what I shouldn't. Some people never learn.😉

Using the high reach hedge trimmer, and tree lopper about 6 weeks ago. Its very heavy for me and about 6 feet long, but I've used it in the past for about 10 minutes at a time with no probs.. but this time, I used it for a little longer to cut back high hedges etc and it did a number on the tendons in my bicep.. and the pain is lingering on, quite severely...

Reached arms straight out to a box in an attempt to lift it with my fingertips. The strain on my arms tore the muscles /tendons in both arms, right arm worse. Can no longer lift my right arm high up. Very inconvenient, but thankfully no pain.

Too much sun...too much sugar
Same here.

And I have to add, I made the stupidest mistake when I was 17. We were in Myrtle Beach on vacation, and it was an overcast day. I knew at the time that UV rays can still get through clouds and so you should still use sunscreen, but I thought I'd be clever and try to get a tan anyway, so I lay out all morning with no sunscreen. 🤦‍♀️

I ended up with a blistering sunburn. I learned later that even one instance of a blistering sunburn can basically double your chances of skin cancer.

I subscribed to the philosophy if you can’t play with the big dogs stay on the porch. I was never on the porch.🤯🤯

Too many times riding my snowmobile like it was the General Lee on the Dukes of Hazzard.

Reschooling too many really rank horses that were ruined by stupid people. I lost a lot of battles before I finally won the wars.

Between those two things is why I have to wear a back brace and walk with a cane. Truth be told if I could still get around as good as I did 10 years ago I would still be going after rank horses. No snowmobiles just rank horses.
