What do you think about legalizing medical marijuana?

I know nothing about marijuana and of all the reading I
have done concerning it, there is more bad than good
reported, the long term use seems to damage the brain,
but I believe that is if you start using it when you are
very young.

Mike.

I'm all for legalizing marijuana for any purpose. Criminalization was never anything more than an attempt at racial control any way.
I have been a consumer of pot for about 48 years now. Yes I am addicted. How ever I fail to see what difference it has made. I have been married 38 years, raised two successful daughters, retired with 31 years of federal service, pay my taxes, support the economy, civically active, all in all a fairly normal guy.
If you are coming to visit, it is best to bring your own beer or wine, because we don't keep it on hand as a matter of course. We enjoy an occaisional drink, but good coffee is our beverage of choice.

I've never used it and don't intend to, but I can't see for the life of me why it's still illegal. I think it does less harm than alcohol.

Why hasen't the pharmaceutical industry made it available in a medicinal form? If it works as well as some people claim, it would be a winner.

Because they were behind the curve. They always supported the prohibition, because they had other drugs that were more profitable and they didn't see a lot of money to be made.
The legalization movement has gone way to far for them to jump in in a big way now.

I will bet there is more than one Pharma Executive having nightmares and eating Tums over blowing that opportunity.

No problem------I have been researching the benefit of Canabis Oil for different Medical Conditions.

My late wife, who was dealing with cancer and chemo, used a form of non-OTC cannabis oil to help with nausea and pain. The THC had been removed, so there was no "high", but it seemed to help.

Alcohol provides a "high" and obviously can do lots of damage. Yet it is legal.

Medical marijuana does not provide a high and alleviates symptoms. Yet it is at least in some locations illegal. What gives?

Agree, Sunny. It should be available for those that need it.

I am all for it. Some people who are well known are advocating for it now.
