What do you think about men wearing jewelry?

Gentlemen, do you wear any other than your wedding ring?

Ladies, do you like men wearing jewelry.

Personally I love jewelry on men...necklaces, bracelets, ear studs. I prefer beads and leather rather than metals, and not such a fan of rings other than wedding rings. I'm so glad Ron likes to wear jewelry. I had this necklace made for him for Christmas. A rough cut, caged sapphire stone (his birthstone) though I substituted the brown leather for a black braided leather.

He absolutely loved it and wears it a lot when we go out. He also wears a beaded bracelet a lot, and if we ever make the time to go, he'd like to get his ear re-pierced for another stud.

Sure. I think people should be whoever they are. If you like jewelry then wear it.
Thats a beautiful piece of jewelry. At first glance it looked like amethyst.
I very much like the caged appeal to it. It’s masculine enough but could be unisexed.
For myself I don’t wear jewelry but do admire it on others and neither does my husband.

WELL TO BE HONEST ' I think pass 55 onwards looks a little naff especially if u was wearing a suit for business '
but just my opinion , studs would be a NO NO -lol .. ok on young ones I guess ' all ways reminds me of the 6os days hippy era ' men with neck pendants etc ………
but I wear a lot of jewellery bracelets rings always loved it ' but not so great on men ..but not against wearing a wrist band on a man - smart .

I don’t

In summer, here in the sticks, I mostly don’t even wear clothes
Just sturdy cargo shorts and hiking boots, that’s it

In town, I begrudgingly wear a shirt or tank top
Have a hard enough time with my wallet and keys

I have nothing against whatever anyone wears
It can be entertaining

As for me, I just don’t care to fiddle with extra stuff

Wear whatever you want. I wear a ring, some metal wrist bands, a few necklaces, at times. I still wear love beads, too, when the spirit hits me. I like the way they look. I could give a rat's behind what others think.

I like men with some simple jewelry on, whether it's a ring, necklace or ear stud. I really like that necklace you gave Ron, more natural jewelry like that if my favorite. My husband doesn't wear any jewelry at all, he never even got into the habit of wearing his wedding band, because it wasn't safe for him to really wear any rings on his hands at work. By the way, great pic of you and Ron, you both look very happy together and that's fantastic!

My wedding band, but also have a U.S. Navy Ring that I will sometimes wear...…...but that's it. Not into all of the jewelry that some men wear and have never seen a "working cowboy" wearing jewelry. Years ago, there was a rodeo cowboy I met that had his ears pierced, wore some kind of necklace and a couple of rings. He also had long hair. Most everyone in the rodeo industry called him "The Wild Child", because that kind of look just wasn't, and isn't, part of pro-rodeo. Rodeo announcers would actually make fun of him when he entered the arena. Didn't seem to bother him, but after he won his only World Championship, he quit rodeo.

BTW, his name is Sid Steiner.

my husband doesn't wear any jewellery (aside from his watch)...I wish he would I like bracelets on a man ..well One gold bangle .. and I like a ring ..and a simple gold chain.

My o/h was a hippy in his youth and wore lots of hand made jewellery , leather, beads, large earrings which made big holes in his ears( thank God they've healed up).. I hated all that stuff on him... ...I like a bit of classy Gold ..but I think people should wear what they feel comfortable with, whatever it is...

I wear my wedding ring and a watch, no other jewelry for me. Never had any piercings, not my style.

I wear a watch as a timepiece, not jewelry. I used to wear cuff links and a tie bar when I was still working.

I never had a wedding ring, nor did my father. It was a thing about working around machinery. Wife and I have been married 59 years. I don't remember ever talking about it.

I like men who keep it simple, watch, wedding ring, bracelet
Some just go a bit overboard with the gold chains, earrings, like "Mr T' from the 80's show'The A Team'

I think it's a generational thing. For our ilk, men were men and did not wear "jewelry". Today, nobody cares. Back in the 40s & 50s, men wore simple chains, ID bracelets and pinky rings. I don't wear jewelry, well I don't have any.

Mean there are men here that don't want to look like a Rapper or as another person said, "Mr. T"?

Appears to me as another "controversial" type thread where some like-to-love seeing a man look like a walking jewelry store and other folks don't like the look at all. I do know that men who run CNC Machines and Drill Presses aren't allowed to wear any kind of jewelry at all.

I only wear my Movado watch and no more. I wore a ring in high school but my girlfriend had it most of the time wrapped in angora. I never felt a ring felt natural. I don't trust guys that wear necklaces or ear stuff. Remember neck-"laces" says something.

I'm not a big fan if it's over the top...

My husband wears a silver cross, never takes it off.

He lost his wedding ring years ago on a job.

I tried to get him to get some beard jewelry when his beard was really long, but he would have nothing to do with it.:D

I forgot about cuff links! My father wore them with French cuffs and they looked so nice. I remember 2 sets, one gold and another like some kind of tiger eye.

He also wore bow-ties, not straight ones.

He also wore a watch. Once, when he got a new watch, he helped me take his old watch apart on the front porch. I remember the tiny jewels in the movement.

I think nice cuff links are sharp!

CR, I haven't seen anyone here saying they like men who look like a walking jewelry store or rapper, you're the only one trying to make this simple thread into a controversial one. I don't like a lot of jewelry on myself or my husband, no big gaudy gold pieces like SOME rappers wear. Now that he no longer works, my husband doesn't even wear his watch every day, but we both wear watches when out camping.

I don’t wear it, but it’s fine with me if men want to. A nice set of fine small pearls paired with a grey pin striped suit, gold stud earrings, matched peal cuff links, and, hmm, blue shirt with a Santa Claus tie would be perfect. High heels would be optional.
