What do you think happens when you die

regarding ashes. And I am dealing with that now.... Is that you bury them with a marker in a Cemetery.
I am the executor of a friend and we cremated him. Will be burying his ashes in the military section of a cemetery.
The government pays for a brass marker on his grave since he was Army for 20 years.
My mother was cremated and ashes were interned with my dad in a columbarium in upstate NY.

Most likely he same thing that happened before I was born. My atoms scatter randomly through the universe until they find other things to do.

After my dad passed, we went to the mortuary to make arrangements & the funeral director had us visit him after they prepared him.
I noticed he had a slight smile on his face. I told the director, "He's smiling because he's finally rid of our mom."

I have no idea of what happens after death....but, I must admit to being a bit curious. I just hope that if there is an "afterlife", I have behaved good enough to "participate".
