What Do You Think of ThIs "Odd" Sympathy Card?

That's probably one of the most common things people write on sympathy cards: "If there's anything I can do, please let me know" or a similar phrase. Even if they don't mean it, they say it, knowing that they probably won't be called on it.
Yeah that's also a possibility. Once I went to America with my ex to a church conference where we met a couple. We had lunch a few times. Really nice. They said oh we want to come visit Holland. What a nice country. Just give us a call. Yeah you can stay with us. Oh yes great wonderful. LOL and back home he asked when they wanted to come. No response. Huh? You don't say that in Holland if you don't mean it. If you don't want to come you say oh no blah no and you don't offer to help if you don't want to. That's that British, American, well actually any country except Holland maybe, politeness LOL. Yes maybe the guy was just being polite.

The Dutch are very straightforward & direct ..and it's seen by most other countries as being rude or abrupt.... lol
