What do you use more - Microwave or conventional oven?

I use the stove top daily and a few times per week the oven. The only thing I use the microwave for is a breadbox.

I haven't used a microwave in over 30 years now. Since moving into my apartment I only use a counter top Nuwave convection oven that uses convection, conduction and infrared technology. The stove that came in my apartment I use for storing my pots, pans, skillets & lids.

The stove and oven, and sometimes the barbecue grill.

But since you asked, do you think I'm so hot I could cook a steak just holding it in my hands? 😁
Oh yes.... of course...it would never occur to me that you might cook things in an Airfryer perhaps .... instead I think you're so hot you could cook a steak in your hands..

Was that the right answer ?:geek::ROFLMAO:

Oven & stove top. Small toaster oven for reheating some things & for toast. Husband reheats coffee in the microwave otherwise I don't use it other than to protect butter & bread from the cats.

Ignorant food prep guy that needs a cook. ;) Mostly microwave, but sometimes a convection oven for fish, and have stove top elements, but my oven has been broken for decades. Will offer an amusing microwave "cooking" story from yesterday.

I live in a noisy urban street zone with vehicle traffic. Thus for sleeping often use foam cylindrical ear plugs, especially when first trying to go to sleep. Yesterday, rounded up my ear plug collection from the 2 places I sleep at in my old 2-story townhouse of which there were about 15. Due to cerumen, aka ear wax, such plugs eventually become less flexible, unable to easily expand.

Put the foam plugs into a small glass bowl half filled with soapy dish water detergent and squeezed the soapy water into them. Put the bowl into my microwave oven and heated them up to a level that was hotter than I could put my hand into but not close to boiling. Removed the bowl and added enough cooler water to just be warm. In my sink hand squeezed the glob of foam plugs awhile to move the warm soapy water through all the porous foam holes, thus cleaning them.

Next rinsed them all in clean water a couple of cycles to squeeze the soap out ending with squeezing most of the water out. At that point moist foam plugs were semi squashed, not expanded. So "cooked" them in the microwave again a couple times for 22 seconds. All but one due to escaping water vapor fully expanded. Then put them outside in the sun for a couple hours. At that point were ready to eat so just added some sugar. :giggle:

I only use the microwave to reheat items. I use my stove with the oven to cook.
