It did happen to me on one occasion. A friend of mine came to my house for a visit and I offered her a coffee. She accepted and proceeded to tell me a story about what happened to her when she went for an eye test. It started from when she got on the bus, and because she doesn't speak fluent English, she kept correcting herself. This went on for at least half an hour, and because it was such a hot day, I could feel myself starting to drift off. When my head went down for the 3rd time, she said, "am I boring you"? I sudden said there was a lack of oxygen in the room and proceeded to open the windows. I felt really bad as she was boring.
