Do you think what people post, here and also on other forums reveal anything about their Personality/Character when you/ we/they share for instance, and in no particular order?
Movies I watch Like/Don't like.
Tv series I watch Like/Don`t like.
Music I watch Like/Don`t like.
Books I read like/Don`t like.
Their political views.
Their answers to other posts.
Their pets.
The car they drive.
The questions they ask.
The pictures they post.
Where they live.
Their profile(If any)
Or would be a drawing of a long bow to assume any of the above has any reference at all to Who/We are?

i was always told, never to give information away, only, what you have been asked.....
but i tend to add a bit more , for conversation.....

there are lots of people, that want to know lots about you, but then, you know nothing about them at the end of the day !!!

Sure, some people show themselves to be mostly positive or mostly negative. Or open hearted or close minded. Or supportive or abrasive.

I'm interested in personality type. So, for example, if someone is very hands-on or physically active, or if they seem to dwell on the past, I feel that gives me possible clues to other aspects of their personality as well.

Of course, some people are an interesting juxtaposition, which makes things interesting. If a person seems very intelligent and well informed, but spends their days watching trash TV, I wonder if they're physically incapacitated. Or if they have other characteristics that seem contradictory (to me), I might question my own prejudices and assumptions.

Many people think facial cues, body language, etc., are important for getting to know someone. But I think a great deal is revealed through what we write.

when I get down to here I have often forgotten the title is there anyway I can get it to follow me? oh well in this case there really wasn't a distinct title but whatever you know what I mean don't you? remember the sting song every move you make ; every breath you take I;ll be watching you [ an evocative song that has conotations regarding abusive relationships? - but that's another thread] the point being that humans and their behaviors in word movements and deads give out signs and signals and clues - and if we are mindfully observing we can pick these up and start constructing an image of the personality - socially ; individually ' emotionally etc just saying!

I honestly think we are more interested in our personality/character than other people. They see bits and pieces of us each time we share information, but the whole picture is missing. One has to meet and see and talk to a person to really get to know them. Here, on this forum, we share our thoughts hundreds of times through our writing, and there are so many of us writing, and so many threads to go through. There is not enough time in the day to keep track of everyone and their personality! So my answer would be "No." :)

I think the things kburra posted are exactly the data sellers want. If 70% of the population loves red sweaters, what color sweaters do you make? We are creatures of habit, and we don't take change that well. All the "tells", or data collected about you, more precisely tailors ads for you, and what you may need.
