What does time mean to you?

One really comforting aspect of time is the moment we are in right now. If I can remind myself that whatever I am worried or concerned about is not in this very moment, and wasting this very moment by trying to live in some other moment, is wasting my life instead of living it. That realization, when I can remember to remind myself of that simple fact, has done more for my peace of mind than anything else.
I made a poster somewhat in that regard

I think this may be the dozenth time I've posted this

But, it does remind me....

As I near retiring at end of this year after right 43 year of working the oilpatch.... this cartoon sums it up better than most any attempt thru writing can illustrate......

I am jealous for each moment with ms gamboolgal, and will be so glad to be able to devote myself to harassing her full time

So according to this we are working our lives away to get money that isn't worth it. I didn't do it that way, and I'm glad. I haven't starved either hope the Ms. likes the thought of the harassment.

Ever experienced the Oddball Effect?
The so-called “oddball effect” occurs when the brain experiences something unusual or out of the normal run of events
In this case, the brain pays special attention and spends more time processing the event, recording as much information as possible on the novel circumstances, which can lead to a feeling that time has slowed down
Yes. Every day!

Nor I! I followed the like attracts like rule by doing what i love and loving what I do. The money followed.
When I was younger I frittered and wasted many hours in an offhand way and would later stress out about it. Now I have no regrets for those times of frittering in my youth or when I do now.
Living in the present moment rocks!

Unless I have a specific appointment, "time" is of little importance. I keep a running list of things I need to do, and I chose to do them depending upon the weather, in most cases. I'm just happy to still be able to "observe" the clock....and no longer have to "live" by it.

Depends on whether it is my time or your time. I value my time, but no one else does.
