What fast food is worth paying for it. I don't go out often.

The logistics of delivering high quality fish has come a long way. We get the fresh halibut ($42/lb last summer!!!) as well as I multitude of other species too, here in Idaho, flown from SouthEast Alaska right into Boise and 3 hours later delivered to the store.

Although I love the halibut it's very dense and I much prefer the more tender fish, loose, flaky cod or haddock.

Not sure which,if any,fast food places you have in Sun Valley,but here in the Treasure Valley we have Artic Circle where you can get halibut sandwiches or fish and chips for a very reasonable price. Moving here from Northern California,we were very surprised to see halibut even served in a fast food place-nevermind at a reasonable price. Didn`t expect that in a land-locked state lol.

Duckworth's is an east Toronto tradition, since the 1920's. Yes Halibut is an expensive fish to buy. Have you ever seen a live Halibut ? They are, without doubt one of the ugliest flat fish in the ocean. Their tender flakey white meat is wonderful in a fish and chips order. Duckworth's still uses beef tallow as it's frying oil. In west Toronto. the Sea Witch on ST Clair id our go to place for fish and chips. JimB.

.. the smaller and therefore younger halibut is best, less mercury
 
Anyone ever watch this odd fellow's fast food reviews?


He even hosts a shortwave radio show on WWCR, though it isn't about fast food.
 
Out of desperation, I had a McDonalds cheesburger and fries Saturday night. We had been at a program and I felt really hungry as we were leaving. It was about 30 minutes from home so I asked my son to stop. Mickey D's fries are always good, even without ketchup. But my preference is their egg and cheese biscuit, a breakfast that I treat myself to a couple of times a year. I'll also eat a Wendy's or Burger King hamburger/cheeseburger, either of which I'll only have a couple of times a year if I'm on the road and need to eat.

I also love (or used to love) Taco Bell's bean and cheese Chalupa. But things are not as they used to be and I was not impressed with how it was made the last time I had one. I used to like KFC's chicken dinners...love their coleslaw and the biscuit was decent but I haven't had that in years, so who knows if that meal hasn't changed as well.
