What happened this week to make you happy ?

Let this be a thread that you can add to each time you have something that brings you happiness or joy....

This week... I got an unexpected £200 deposited in my bank account...

Also this week.. my friends whom I haven't seen since before the first lockdown and who live 200 miles away have arranged for us to meet half way between our homes next week , and have lunch.. 😁
 

I would have fibbed and told the friends I'd just had £200,000 deposited into my bank account, then they would have insisted on driving the full 200 miles to visit me. I know, a devious ploy I agree, but it would have saved me a tediously long drive. Am I awful? 😊
 
Paxton's mother totally lost her cool with me when I picked him up at the visitor's center on Friday. Over something really stupid, too.

This is a good thing, because her visits are supervised....Debbie was watching, and she will write a report. (Debbie's a smart cookie)

His mother threatened to stop my weekends with Pax. I doubt that'll happen.
 
Almost all of the rest of the grass seed sprouted. Woohoo🎇

The sun was out a lot☀️ and really highlights the turning leaves. Breathtaking🍂🍁

DD finally found refrigerated pie crusts for our Thanksgiving pies because I don't like making pie crust. I just roll them thinner so that they aren't as thick as shoe leather. Refrigerated pie crusts have been scarcer than hen's teeth for weeks🥧

I'm days closer to getting the offer letter for the new job✉️ Could happen as soon as tomorrow!🌅

Almost forgot! There's a rogue iris that has its seasons confused. It never blooms in the spring, but it blooms late in the fall. All the iris in the flower beds are blue and white. This one is all white, and I have no idea where it came from. I took a picture and am now in the process of figuring out how to post it.

At this stage of life happy has become my default condition. It wasn't always thus.

My most recent extra joys have been that starting last night one of my sons and his (very pregnant) wife will be staying with DH & me for a couple of weeks while their home is undergoing some plumbing and electrical work. Also the grands came over for a few hours yesterday and we watched the adorable movie Flora & Ulysses with them (Disney Plus). We also did a little Christmas scheming together. Shhh..... :cool:

I think it's a lovely picture. How charming that your rebel flower blooms when it decides the timing is right rather than following the crowd!

Our range died 2 weeks ago. Just a few hours ago I got an email from a friend who found one for free that works and is in better shape than ours was. Nearby small town, so we just went and got it. :)

Also, some of the wit of this forum can really crack me up! Thnx! :)
